Hi Lil, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I’ve been busy! So good, things are beginning to shape up and I’m starting to get more recognition.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Taught Him A Lesson”?

Taught Him A Lesson is one of the best production to come so far with months of work and planning put into it.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

It’s just in general, throughout life no matter what your destination is, on the road to it you will come across people that don’t want you to reach it, this is about those kinds of people and a reminder that my happiness and success is within my control and not theirs.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

It was fun it was very well planned out, we chose different iconic locations around the city filming. I enjoyed all of it and can’t wait to do many more!

How was the recording and writing process?

The recording and writing process was also enjoyable for me, this is one of the tracks that just clicked, it’s self expression and therefore very therapeutic for me to release negative energy for a positive outcome.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than on your own?

I love to collaborate and to be inspired by others, with my own music I tend to lock myself away and get it done, but when working with a group I love to bounce off each other’s bars and energy’s to create unique music.

What role does Carlisle play in your music?

Carlisle is my home and birthplace, it plays a huge role in my music.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Of course! I’ve actually got a release being finished up and beginning to film in February.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

The next single will be “Too Cold” and released around March.

Any plans to hit the road?

I have plans to go back to Manchester and London to work with friends on music, apart from that no plans yet!

What else is happening next in Lil Sago’s world?

The grind don’t stop! Keep pushing the dream and working hard in the studio!

I’m going to release a few more singles and aim to continue building a fan base.
