The Novus kick-off 2020 with three gigs: Paris, Birmingham and London, including headlining This Feeling’sBirmingham Big In 2020. This is their first Paris and Independent Venue Week show in London. Accompanied by the new track Frosty, out on Join The Noise/Vallance. Frosty is produced by Gavin Monaghan(Editors, The Blinders, The Sherlocks) at Magic Garden Studios in Wolverhampton.
In recent months, while building interest alongside contemporaries, Shame, The Blinders, Walt Discoand Fontaines DCwith a mind-bending blend of grunge, punk, spiralling guitars and bleak realism. The Novus are fast becoming one of the most hotly tipped acts for 2020, with enthralling stage antics and packing-out 200-400 capacity venues in their hometown of Birmingham.
Frosty is no exception to their sound, where screaming, psychedelic punk is painted onto a backdrop of scuzzy, grunge mayhem. The Novus put on shows to be remembered, dressed in boiler-suits, full make-up, wardrobe and a caged lead singer – attempting to escape the machine and politically engaged. Frosty the love song is unlike the ballads of many artists, the track springs-up, defiant and fighting for breath in the aftermath of a broken romance.
