Up-and-coming artist Neptune releases his new song “Outcast” today – listen HERE. The song is the first off of his upcoming project “Neptune’s Shiny Demise” that will feature 14 songs for Neptune’s 14 moons and has already received the seal of approval from Neptune’s mentor and friend, Post Malone – see the full visual HERE. “Outcast” exclusively premiered in LA Weekly on Thursday, Jan 23rd — read the full article HERE. Laced with hip-hop flavored production, Neptune dives into themes of isolation and loneliness, paralleling the song to the dwarf planet Pluto.
On the inspiration behind the song, Neptune shared “I really wanted to focus on feeling lost or left out of the group because Pluto was named a planet but then later deemed a dwarf planet. For me, it’s about Pluto but for others, it can be about a person, or being this person or feeling this way. Anyone feeling like an outcast, out of place in where they are, or banished from the group, can really relate to this.”
Neptune will perform his song for the first time on Saturday, Jan 25th at the first-ever Neptune Bash. The all-ages event will take place at the world-famous West Coast Customs to celebrate the new release and will include additional performances from Sunny Malouf, Colby O’Donis, Greg Marks, and Jessame. It will be hosted by Christian DelGrosso and include food trucks, a gaming trailer, giveaways from Sweet, meet & greets, and a limited merch drop.
