If the name Josh Herman rings a bell, it’s because he is one of the guys behind Daisy in Toronto, a luxury cocktail lounge and club that’s gaining a lot of popularity in the Toronto nightlife scene.
Tucked away in the heart of downtown, this sleek new bar is your one-stop destination for dreamy cocktails, chic aesthetics, and insta-worthy snaps. Daisy has a cozy, intimate vibe, with curving pink booths perfect for lounging on after a long day.
From infamous influencers to household celebrity names, Daisy has been attracting a lot of popularity since its opening in September 2019.
The drinks are inspired by flowers, and you’ll definitely need to try more than one! The signature drink, named ‘The Daisy’ is a delicious blend of sweet Raspberry Syrup, Grey Goose, St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Lime Juice, and Egg Whites.
One of the most interesting yet secret features of Daisy is the small, hidden room at the back. The closet-sized space is covered in mirrors, making it the perfect place to reapply lipstick, adjust your outfit, and, most importantly, take a selfie!
How did you end up in the nightlife scene?
I started my career in nightclubs in 2008booking talent and producing shows. Quickly transitioned into in management in the music business
What are some of your most memorable moments at Daisy?
Probably the early stages of building it out, to watching where it’s grown to now. We spent the last year working hard every day for a common goal, and to see it all come together, in general, is the best memory for me.
Where do you see Daisy in 10 years?
The idea is to expand Daisy in Toronto over time. We plan to bring Daisy into Los Angeles in the next few years, and a few other cities to come shortly after.
Are you looking to open up more nightlife venues in Canada?
Definitely in Toronto, already have another project or two in the works right now. Looking to expand the hospitality group into some boutique hotels, more nightlife, and restaurants.
Any key people that you would like to thank for being involved in the success of Daisy?
My partners, of course, Sam Reznick, Matt Kostandoff, Sean Kane, James Lumsden, and Aaron Frymer. Everyone in the ownership group fits into an important role, and together we’ve been able to garnish an upscale clientele very quickly.
