Minneapolis songwriter Zaq Baker has that certain type sound that resonates with any generation. Baker had this to say about the meaning of the lyrics, “I wrote this song by putting myself in the position of a lovestruck teenager — a hilariously easy leap for me. The imagined story relies on experiences that should be relatable for anyone who has had a strong crush. I wrote the song about a year ago, realizing like a bolt of lightning months later that guest vocals to tell half the story would be a total must.” Bakers lush vocals, accompanied by Lydia Pelletier, lends itself perfectly to the universal emotion the lyrics are touching on. The interaction between Zaq and Lydia creates an auroa that they are speaking directly to you. We are looking forward to seeing more of Zaq Baker in the future.
