The Orange Kyte presents ‘Infinity Rope’ single from ‘Carousel’ LP

Garage-psychedelic rock troopers The Orange Kyte present ‘Infinity Rope’, the new single from their ‘Carousel’ album, along with a brazen new video created by Kevin Mnz. The new record is available now from Portland label Little Cloud Records (US/Canada) and Cardinal Fuzz (EU/UK).

This single comes on the trail of the first two previewed from this album – ‘Distractions’ and ‘Masquerade!’ ‘Carousel’ follows the release of ‘The Orange Kyte Says Yes!’, released in March 2018, and ‘Grow It Right’ prior to that in August 2017. This album picks up where the latter release left off, with their signature lo-fi dirty garage psych sound and overdriven vocals with added grooves and hints of post-punk, new wave and powerpop.

The Orange Kyte really hits its stride on ‘Carousel’, the songwriting becoming sharper and more focused. Both musically and lyrically, this record is ultimately impactful and articulated, with compositions that pack a punch.

Lyrically abstract, the record explores themes of duality (‘Masquerade!’), conformity (‘The Modern Day Saints’), procrastination (‘Distractions’), transcendence (‘Infinity Rope’ and ‘Little Death Balloon’) addiction (‘Demonstration Garden’), consumerism (‘C.O.P.’), existentialism (‘Sea of Love’), cults (‘Captain Ron’), & frustration (‘Downfall’).”
