boyanlevchev’s latest work Like A Fool feat. BYFYN showcases more than just aesthetics and cream, but shrewd songwriting and sharpened hip-hop sensibilities. Featuring BYFYN who has been lorded by BBC Radio 6, the track precedes a stunning visual directed by Bulgarian director JAWPAINS – to be released on the 10th of January.

The single is taken from The Mist Opportunity, a 9-track LP that introduces boyanlevchev in full voice. With Bulgarian heritage the album is the brainchild of sleazy pop and Romani-folk that prevails in Eastern Europe, as well as the Kanye’s and 3000’s of this world. These wildly rooted influences make for a fascinating listen from front to back. With Vice City inspired artwork, the album is indeed playful, poignant and vibrant cocktail of love, arrogance and self-deceit, or is it just an Eastern-Europeans joyride through an unhealthy obsession with being famous?

“My mom really likes Like A Fool. When I made it, she gushed and insisted that I give it to Justin Bieber to perform it – I guess she thought it could be the new Despacito? Or perhaps she was hinting that I’m not a good enough singer for my own music… Well, I got my close friend and popping star BYFYN to tenderly lay some lush vocals on top, so the singing bit is covered. Now I just have to give Bieber a call, and get a billion views on YouTube..”
