North London five-piece, KAWALA have released an in-studio video of the band performing the latest track from their forthcoming EP, ‘Wash Away The Wild’.

The delicate track is built up of gorgeous, syncopated rhythms and , of course, Jim and Daniel’s soaring vocal harmonies. The stripped back nature of the video perfectly captures the passion and energy of the band’s live performances.

The band’s distinctive sound which includes Jim and Dan’s captivating vocal harmonies over warm, chiming guitars and the occasional breezy electronics are winning fans across the UK and beyond. Contrasting brilliantly with the upbeat melodies, lyrically the band reflect on the inner turmoil of daily goings on, confronting the ups and downs of modern life.

Formed in North London by then teenagers Jim Higson and Daniel McCarthy, the band are a truly exciting proposition within the UK music scene. Drawing inspiration from the likes of John Martyn Bombay Bicycle Club, The Staves, Bon Iver and Half Moon Run, the pair started writing songs together and quickly developed a close musical partnership.
