Andy Golledge shares “When Your Mind’s Away,” the followup to his debut single “Run to The River.” Both songs will appear on his forthcoming EP Namoi out February 7.
“When Your Mind’s Away” is a raw and emotive ballad that depicts the inner monologue that plays when you realize the person you’re with is more into it than you are. “It’s about wanting to connect with someone emotionally but being unable to because you can’t love yourself,” Andy explains. From the poetic lyricism paired with soft harmonies, to the hypnotic guitar strum, “When Your Mind’s Away” offers a stripped back, subdued side to Andy that sits melancholic contrast to his belting debut single “Run to the River.”
