Susie Vanner Announces Charity Christmas EP for Children’s Hospice: Shooting Star

Former Bond Girl Susie Vanner will release a special EP of Christmas classics, as a precursor to the release of her debut album next year.

The Susie Vanner at Christmas EP will feature three songs ‘Santa Baby’, ‘Jingle Bells’, and ‘Last Christmas’, recorded with producer Kipper Eldridge, with all profits going towards Shooting Star Children’s Hospice – it was at a Shooting Star Children’s Hospices event that Susie first met Kipper and began their collaboration.

Talking about the Christmas EP, Susie said “It was a blast to record some of my favourite festive songs in the studio alongside Kipper and all the wonderful band who are on my album – to be able to help the Shooting Star Children’s Hospice Charity where this musical journey began is such an honour”.

Karen Sugarman, Executive Vice-President at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said, “We are thrilled that Susie has chosen to give profits from her Christmas EP to Shooting Star Children’s Hospices – we support countless families over Christmas, and throughout the year, who are facing the most unimaginable of circumstances, so this support really does make the world of difference. Susie has been an avid supporter of the charity for a number of years and we simply can’t thank her enough.”

Like the album, the EP was recorded with Guy Barker of the BBC Concert Orchestra, with tracks chosen by Susie herself. Recorded at British Grove Studios in one-take, the songs retain the similarly upbeat, Jazzy qualities that lay on Susie’s upcoming debut – all of which have their roots in her previous Northern Soul sound.

‘In These Shoes’, the debut album will be released in March 2020.
