3 Awesome Ways to Get Rid of Ants & Mosquitoes

Insects in your home can be a real pain; sometimes, ants would invade any food storage they are likely to find. If you find one, there probably would be a thousand more. Similarly, mosquitoes, as we all know can be annoying, whether you are out in the lawn, sitting on a couch inside, or lying in your bed if there are mosquitos in your home they will find their way to you. Here are a few ways you can follow such insects and bugs in your home. The following processes are doable at your own home.

 Pest Control For Ants:

  1. Via Peppermint:

Peppermint is known to be the natural repellent of ants and mosquitos. You can make the disinfectant in your home by pouring two glasses of clean water in a bowl then adding 15 to 20 drops of peppermint oil. The mixture of the two can be stored in a standard spray bottle. Directly spraying disinfectants can kill the subject more instantly, but there is no possible way to find a thousand ants in groups. You can start by spraying baseboards of your home for ants and around the windows for mosquitos.

  1. Lemon eucalyptus:

Lemon eucalyptus is a tree. It is also known as lemon-scented gum or by the scientific name of Corymbia Citriodora. The citronella oil extracted from this tree is an effecting repellent of mosquitos and ants. Usually, the oil is used in candles to keep away flying bugs like mosquitos. To get rid of ants, take a few cotton balls and soak them with citronella, then place the product in places where you have seen ants or other bugs.

  1. Cinnamon leaf and cornstarch:

As described above, if you find one and there would probably be a hundred or a thousand more. Cornstarch is most useful for a higher number of colonies of ants. You can try this method by pouring the product over a group of ants with a limited amount of water, but afterward, you are most likely to find a group of dead ants covered in cornstarch, and the cleaning process can take you an hour or two. So the process advisable in using cornstarch for ants is; that after you have used cornstarch on the ants, use a regular vacuum cleaner to get rid of chunks of dead ants rather than mopping them out. But in this process, the cornstarch will follow its way into the vacuum cleaner’s bag so you would have to take care of that immediately after killing the ants. If this method seems too messy for you, you can also use cinnamon leaf oil. Cinnamon oil is famous for the aromatic scent that will make you want to use it more than other chemicals. Cinnamon oil is useful for dry skin. It can also lift the pain or aches in your body, for example, your joints and muscles. You can use this as a repellent by soaking the cotton balls in it and leaving them where you can be seen ants crawling. You can also use it as a powder.
