Dead Reynolds Release New Music Video For “Souls”

Dead Reynolds have recently released their new single and accompanying video “SOULS.” Watch here

The band are a five piece alt-rock act from East Anglia who formed from the embers of Phoenix Calling & with notable high profile additions including The First’s Ben Knowles to bring you truly relevant and catchy alt-rock. They’ve just celebrated their first year together with this new single.

Souls is a different sound for Dead Reynolds and sees a collaboration with Producer Jack Murphy of Crystal Sounds Studio, Norfolk and front man of Youth Killed it.    “Working with Jack has been great, he brings out the best in us and the track, often taking it to a different place” acknowledges guitarist Dom Greenwood.

The sound of the band has developed since working with Jack and is more driven with more hooks and riffs. A favourite to play live. “The track is a mix of alternative rock with riffs and breakdowns but also brings in an edge towards pop-punk with a catchy chorus and melodies aimed at staying in people’s heads” adds Luke Reid

The original idea was carved out on an acoustic guitar by Dom and then shaped as it is by the band and played live before recording with Jack and adding in the drive and layers to the song.

The song is about feeling isolated, looking over your shoulder and needing to find yourself again. Having to look in the mirror to find any kind of fortitude as everyone around is passing you by. The feeling of being invisible is a common theme. Not giving someone a chance and having regrets is a feature of the track with the subject asking if there is anyone there as they can’t see or feel anyone. Souls marks a more upbeat, driven and determined sound for the band which translates perfectly into the vibrant and electric live show they deliver.
