After rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest stars from the small and big screens backstage during the National Film and TV Awards hosted in the historic Globe Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, VENTS magazine cornered TV’s biggest breakout star Wyatt McClure as he exited the stage after presenting the “Best Performance on a Reality TV Show” award. Wyatt McClure, an actor from Cleveland, OH stars as “Billy Sparks” on the mega-hit CBS comedy series, “Young Sheldon,” a spin-off of “Big Bang Theory” and has quickly emerged as a fan favorite for the mischief and laughs he brings to the show.

On tonight’s episode of “Young Sheldon” that airs at 8:00pm on the CBS Television Network, Mary (Zoe Perry) takes matters into her own hands when Sheldon (Iain Armitage) isn’t invited to Billy’s birthday party. In “A Party Invitation, Football Grapes and an Earth Chicken” – Mary gets Pastor Jeff (Matt Hobby) involved following the party invite snub. Also, George Sr. (Lance Barber) has “male-bonding time” with Dr. Sturgis (Wallace Shawn).

Our conversation with Wyatt McClure — as he was mobbed by fans….

VENTS: Our readers are excited that Billy Sparks is back in the Young Sheldon mix this season — why do you think that he was missed so much?

WYATT: Thanks!  Its good to be missed and great to be back!  Billy brings some silly and funny moments to the show.

You’re a nice guy —  so who are you channeling when filming scenes as Billy Sparks?

WYATT: Billy is a nice kid-to some he is misunderstood as a bully but he is just simple minded and says what he is feeling at the time.  Sometimes he comes across as a goof ball.

VENTS: Billy Sparks has a birthday party — do you think that he deserves it? Would you attend if he invited you?

WYATT: Of course Billy deserves a birthday party!  All kids do.  As long as there is cake I am there! LOL.

VENTS: So, off-set, where can fans find you hanging out?

WYATT: I am usually playing football or playing in a local park.  I also like to go to Skyzone and play Fortnite.

VENTS: Where can fans send birthday wishes to Billy Sparks?

WYATT: Please send Billy Sparks well wishes on IG and Twitter @TheWyattMcClure~  I love to read all the comments and respond to the fans!   I am also on Facebook. Check me out!

VENTS: Who will be facing off at Super Bowl 2020?

WYATT: I would love to see the Cleveland Browns vs Seahawks!  Christian Kirksey on the Browns and Bobby Wagner on the Seahawks are two great players that I have the pleasure of knowing!
