Hi Maxe welcome to VENTS! How have you Been?

Hey VENTS, thanks for having me!

Can you talk to us about your latest single ‘Echo’?

Sure! It is about old friendships, the feeling of always being there for someone even if they may not be there for you. ‘Echo’ is kind of a flashback to our time at school which everyone can relate too.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

No particular event, but time passes so quickly it’s nice to think back to beautiful memories we have.

The video is live on YouTube, take a look here:

How was the recording and writing process?

ELI & I were in the studio talking about old stories. We didn’t want to write a generic love song, so that’s how ‘Echo’ came about. It was really fun working with one of my friends.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else?

For me a collaboration is more than just making music together in the studio, it’s a connection between different characters. I always try to expand my mind and my knowledge about genres. It’s nice to hear new sounds and samples when collaborating and inspiring one another.

With the major success behind you both – did you feel any pressure or rather the opposite?

I didn’t particularly feel pressure as Echo is my first single, I definitely feel more confident now following my first release.

Does the new single mean we can expect new material – how’s that coming along?

Of course! I’m excited to share new music with you guys.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Beginning of 2020 I will be releasing my second single. I’m also planning to release an EP.

What else is happening next in Maxe’s world?

We’re getting closer to the end of the year so it’s family time! This year was filled with wonderful moments and a lot of positive energy. I’m grateful for getting this experience and believe Maxe’s world will grow and get even bigger. Up until vacation I am working on new songs and planning the next steps in my career.
