Megan Steinke has returned with the release of her new visual for “Fly.” Watch here
About the video, Steinke comments “I put hours and hours into setting up and filming this video with Nichoals Domaguing. I wanted it to bring to life how I feel about the song and myself, which is why I chose to include certain specific scenes. The scene with all white is kind of a “dreamland,” where I’m dreaming about my future and becoming confident and successful, where I dream about being able to just fly. The scene in the shower took so long and it was really hard haha, but I wanted it to pair with the lyrics “you’ve been runnin though it’s rainy.” I love that I’m just letting the water shower down on me, as I continue to dream and ponder. The piano scene (thanks for helping me set that up at my old high school, dad!) is absolutely stunning and I wanted people to see me in my element. I used to play a lot more piano, and I wanted to show myself doing what I love. And later on we filmed the beginning scene, where I was kind of over trying to look put-together; I wanted to show the real me, the silly and weird me, that doesn’t actually eat cereal on top of bagels but I thought it would be funny. Hope you guys enjoy the video and share :)”
Megan started writing songs at the age of around 17, when she and her sister wanted to record some Christmas songs as a gift for their mom. After playing around with a cheap microphone and Garageband, Megan started experimenting and writing her own songs. With her classical piano experience, love of creative writing, and newfound passion for music production, Megan continued to write and record her own music. With “Another Side” as well as her past albums, Megan wrote about her experiences, her faith, and her dreams. Megan wants to be real in her music and in her messages, and her Christian background and positivity definitely show through. She also writes about her thoughts and struggles, as a way of dealing with inner conflict and relationship struggles.
