Since forming as a group, South Carolina based Americana-Rockers The Jake Bartley Band have turned several heads with their unique sound. Taking an Americana approach, their music combines multiple different genres ranging from Country, Soul, Rock, Funk, Folk, and Blues.
The band is back with a brand new single, “Whiskey In My Coke.” The song has a strong mainstream Country sound that is sure to get a lot of attention. The laid-back message resonates with America’s heartland, with its easy- going vibe. The song was written by JBB members Jake Bartley, Matt Miller, and Andrew Crawford.
“Our bassist, Matt Miller brought the concept and the inner structure of the tune to the table. While we were doing a week-long stretch in Nashville, we collaborated on the rest of it,” says Jake Bartley.
The band turned several heads with their debut album Brotherhood, released in 2018. Included on the collection was a collaboration with Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Vince Gill. The song received rave reviews within the music community, while also helping to reach an even larger audience. They also worked alongside Nashville giants Randy Kohrs and Robby Turner on the project.
“It’s a little more raw and edgy than the tracks from the Brotherhood album,” explains Jake Bartley. “But I feel like it will resonate with our current fans while maybe enticing some new ones.”
He adds, “It’s our first track recorded at our guitarist Andrew Crawford’s studio, where he also mixed and produced the song. We’re all really excited about our new sound and can’t wait to see what the road ahead holds!!”
