London-based Zac Pajak releases his music video for ‘Not Around’ on November 28th, via Goldun Egg Records. Directed by Loona Kasemets (The Graft) and shot in Peckham, South London, ‘Not Around’ follows the release of debut single ‘Again’ in October ’19.

Speaking about the video Zac quotes: “Let’s face it – it’s a sad song about accepting the absence of a loved one. With the video we simply wanted to project this feeling of loss and absence. It starts with the cosy bedroom setting of a relationship which is then stripped away piece by piece and left empty by the end. We used a body cam to give a chaotic and unstable perspective. We filmed it on the streets of Peckham and I had this huge body-rig harnessed to my chest when it started raining – I guess it adds to the mood, we had no choice but to embrace it.”

Zac’s latest offering ‘Not Around’ is awash with alluring textures and urban-pop finesse. The stripped-down introduction quickly gives way to a deep baseline and pulsing electronic atmospheres, as Zac’s soulful vocal finds a strength and clarity in moving on from a relationship.

The solo artists music career continues to gather pace since being discovered by Jake Gosling (Major Lazer, Wiley, Lady Gaga) and signed to his record label Goldun Egg. Zac’s debut single ‘Again’ was playlisted by Spotify UK, as well as supported by tastemaker websites such as Acid Stag, Indie London and Digital High to name but a few. Zac has also enjoyed songwriting collaborations with the likes of Major Lazer, Mr Eazi, Raye, Danny Jones, NUUX and Dusky Grey.

A seasoned performer with 5 years gigging in London pubs and on the apres-ski circuit in the Swiss alps under his belt, Zac will complete a series of intimate live shows before the year closes out.
