Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Mi Amor”? Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Not an event in particular – but a particular emotion that I feel and was able to express through this sound. That feeling of longing to be physically connected with love. Feeling absent of love. And through this absence, and through this space, I found that love was present. That I carried the energy in my heart and could tap into it, utilizing the potential in this energy, to remind me that I am loved, that I am love, and that I am resilient.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Yes. When I produce and create, I see images. I see life in a cinematic way. I am excited by the potential to create visual representations and further communicate the intention of this project. I wish to share a journey that inspires creativity and self-expression. To invoke a sense of limitless imagination in the person who is participating in this interaction.

How was the recording and writing process?

I love receiving this inspiration and channeling it into a path and a form of expression. In this infinite source of potential energy there is a creative manifestation of play, experimentation, iteration, and completion. I am in love with this process, it makes me feel alive, free and powerful.

What made you want to release this single on New Moon?

I follow the moon cycles. I observe the patterns and I move in sync with the qualities that nature shares. I let it help guide me. It the flow for me. It is inspiring and supportive. The New Moon is a powerful time to set intentions. This song is dedicated to love. I’m releasing it on the New Moon with the intention of sharing it’s message – that love is resilient.

You get to play with different cultures – how did you go on balancing all your different influences?

It is an interweaving that comes through finding balance in the creative process. In my experience, the inherent responsibility of being a human is seeking the balance in all things. Finding the oneness in it all – the common thread. Weaving separation into one. We are human kind – one blood under the sun. There is connection, and there is peace in that.

What made you want create with influences from these particular cultures?

It is not as much about “culture” as it is connection. Again, I feel there is an important element to the interweaving of unique perceptions, traditions, & experiences.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes this expression is in flow. I am excited to share new music in the year Ancient. Future.2020. Join me!
