Law Firm Recognizes Local S.C. Teachers

Teachers are among some of the most underappreciated workers in the United States. Yet they have the power to influence and shape the minds of future generations.

The attorneys at Stewart Law Offices understand the importance of education. That’s why every year, they give out $500 awards to South Carolina teachers who are recognized as role models in their communities. This year, five deserving educators were presented with the awards.

The Value of an Education

Stewart Law Offices has had a longtime interest in education. Firm founder Brent Stewart is the son of a schoolteacher, and from an early age saw the dedication and effort that teachers put into their work.

When Stewart Law Offices planted its roots in four South Carolina communities, the firm’s attorneys decided that recognizing local teachers was an ideal way to honor education and everything that teachers do.

The award-winning teachers for 2019 include:

  • Abramial Madiah, first grade, York Preparatory Academy
  • Jamie Elmore, first grade, India Hook Elementary School
  • Janette Wainman, special education teacher, Indian Land Elementary School
  • Lisa Snipes, third grade teacher, Indian Land Elementary School
  • Jesika Hill, special education teacher, McCarthy-Teszler School in Spartanburg

The winners were selected from a pool of nominees submitted from the outside community.

Outreach As a Part of Legal Practice

Stewart Law Offices is a personal injury firm, representing clients who are injured in a wide variety of accidents in South Carolina and North Carolina. But the foundation of any legal practice is to serve others — which explains why supporting the community is a natural extension of what Stewart Law Offices does on a daily basis.
