INTERVIEW: Beauski

Hi Beauski! How are you?

Better than fantastic

When/How did you start/get into making music?

I was raised in the church. While singing and playing the drums during Sunday worship, I noticed the way the music moved in the congregation in a way that appeared as though they were in a trance. I was mesmerized by the heartfelt singing, shouting and how the church seemed to be on fire with passion. This is when I knew I was called to create music.

What is your greatest inspiration for your music?

Ray Charles is my greatest inspiration. He never stopped despite his struggles, to see his dream come true. I’m moved by his creativity and in-explainable sound that has left an infinite mark on the music industry. I’m also inspired by Dr. Dre, and his method of sustained longevity in the industry. I admire his desire to bring new artists along for the journey and I respect his business sensibility. When asked what influences my music? I simply say “Life influences my music.”

What is the hardest subject you’ve ever written about?

The hardest subject has to be about my little brother that passed. I was so young and didn’t know what was going on. It affected me well into adulthood. Luckily I understood that he was an angel on this earth and he’s watching over me daily.

What is the greatest achievement you’ve ever accomplished?

My greatest accomplishment is to have my Mom and Dad say they were proud of me. To have there support while doing what I love. They were so hard on me growing up! That upbringing made me respect life and everything that comes with it.

Are you planning on releasing new music soon?

Yes! I’ve created so much great music I haven’t let the listeners hear yet but it will be released when the time comes.

What is next for you?

Next for me is to make sure the world hears the music! I want to bring them into my world so the feeling is authentic!
