SONIA Releases Debut Self-Titled EP “SONIA EP 1” Worldwide

SONIA has released her debut EP today titled “SONIA EP 1.” The singer, songwriter, pianist, and music producer shares her personal journey in life and love with her already amassed fan base who have been patiently waiting for its arrival. The highly anticipated EP can be heard HERE.

The self-titled 4 song EP features her debut single “Joyride,” co-produced and co-written by Black Atlass, which takes listeners on a journey through a personification of her demons. It continues with “Games,” a collaboration with artist and songwriter PJ, chronicling her first heartbreak and the feeling of betrayal. Paper Magazine calls “Games” “a mind-bending dark pop maze.” Also featured on the EP is the confessional, yet catchy “I Don’t Know” (watch here) which examines the paradox of how relationships end in pain. It concludes with “Dark History.” Originally written on SONIA’s piano in Paris, the song showcases the scope of her sonic spell.

SONIA devoted two years to writing and recording what would become the ‘SONIA’ EP. Hitting the studio with Daheala [The Weeknd, Halsey, Future] as executive producer, she also worked alongside the likes of Ben Billions [Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj, G-Eazy], The ANMLS [Belly, The Weeknd], Dayyon Alexander, J Moon, and more.

When speaking about her debut EP, SONIA states “I love the concept of duality, which reflects in my music through contrasting ideas in lyrics and sounds: darkness versus light, temptation versus virtue.” She concludes with “Emotions are universal. Everyone has experienced darkness, but I try to see it from a different angle. It’s okay to feel this way. We can celebrate beautiful sadness as part of existence.”

With her new EP released, SONIA is ready to hit the stage supporting her new music and embark on an interpersonal journey with fans. Upcoming tour dates will include Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and London. Information on how to purchase tickets can be found HERE.
