Kamma Releases New Single “Yet Another Girl”

Behind the artist Kamma is the talented pop-songwriter Signe Rønsov a singer with a highly sensitive personality. Through her music she becomes Kamma; and Kamma stands for empowerment.

Her music consists of harmonious compositions and honest lyrics about being a young sensitive woman. The songs muster a burning sensitivity, sprouting from heartfelt moments, that seeks to dive underneath the mask and a seemingly strong facade to reveal grief, earnesty and fragility – her true emotions woven together by voices and melodies from her dreams.

The first single ‘Yet Another Girl’ is a captivating, heartfelt and gloomy pop-tune about jealousy and loss of confidentiality in an important relationship. The song was written in a time where she found herself pushed away from a lot of the people she otherwise counted on in her life – in these moments it became clear to Signe that it can be hard to stand by and accept the fear of losing the ones closest to you.

“Jealousy is a feeling that can grow to become big and shameful. But for a young woman demanding to have her needs, feelings and desire recognised the shame can feel a lot bigger. The shame connected with demanding a voice is a feeling that has followed me for a long time now. And I see a lot of young women struggling with even just recognising and making space for that” – Signe Rønsov

With this single Signe tries to open up her secret flow of thoughts and push the limits for what seems permissive to feel through the empowered and honest voice of Kamma.
