New York City-based Indie Pop outfit The Naturals are back and better than ever. Sharing with the world today their new single “The Kids Don’t Understand,” from their new EP, “Something New,” the band entices from start to finish within every listen.
Member Jason Szutek states of of the track:
“‘The Kids Don’t Understand,” is an homage to many things classic, from a fading NYC to shifting music trends to all things nostalgia. Sonically, the song is a modern throwback to a power-pop anthem.”
Having originated on the Carolina college music scene in 2004 and relocated to NYC well over a decade ago, The Nats (formerly The Naturals) have made their stamp on the NYC/NJ club circuit with rambunctious, retro, garage rock and power pop hooks. Celebrating the 10-year anniversary release of The Nats EP (2009), Jason Szkutek (of American Darlings), Marc Cusa and Matt Santoro (of Giftshop and MightyHigh fame) are independently releasing their aptly titled second EP, “Something New By The Nats” this month. If you love bands like The Jam, The Undertones, Buzzcocks, Ty Segall, and more, you’ll be head over heels from The Naturals just like we are!
