Fopé is a singer-songwriter from South West London whose brand of R&B is influenced by the likes of Lauryn Hill, Rihanna and Erykah Badu. As an artist of Nigerian origin, Esther’s (Fopé) musical roots stemmed from school & church choirs, before taking on a singer-rapper styling whilst writing.
“What A Feeling” is a mesmerizing take on contemporary R&B, with dreamy vocals and driving percussion. Laden with hooky qualities, in both the synth work and the melodies, this track is set to wrap up 2019 in style.
Fopé elaborated on the single:
“Growing up listening to a combination of afrobeats, dancehall and R&B, I wanted to create a sound which brings together all of those inspirations. The song is basically a journey of falling in love and that amazing feeling when you do.”
