London singer-songwriter Nazneen Rahman is back today with the release of her new album I’m Too Old To Die Young. The ten-song collection of sophisticated pop spans jazzy electronica, soulful late-night ballads and radio-friendly melodies, all tied together by Rahman’s beautiful vocals, relatable lyrics and a polished and atmospheric production.

“What is the point of your life? What do you live for? How will you be remembered?” asks Rahman when discussing her new collection of songs.

“As we get older, as time slips through our fingers, we find ourselves thinking more about these universal questions. I’m Too Old To Die Young is ten songs I wrote as I wondered about life. About the long shadows our pasts cast. About the futures we can craft, if we can find the courage and commitment. The album is also a musical love letter to the sophisticated pop I grew up with – Sade, Roxy Music, Kate Bush. These songs are about growing older and wondering what really matters to us. I hope they come to feel like heart-to-hearts with old friends.”

Now with her most ambitious set of songs to date, she takes listeners on a journey contemplating our fragile, changing relationships with Time, Aging and Identity. The ten original songs chart a complementary musical journey, with sophisti-pop, jazz and electronic influences that feel both fresh and timeless.
