Nine years after their single «ETERNISE MOI» featuring JENA LEE, a real hit that has revealed them to the general public, the band ESKEMO has recently marked its return in music.
It is indeed a few weeks ago that the band has revealed their new single «ELLA», a catchy pop & indie song, along with a Prom Party-style music video directed by HK Corp (Indochine, M Pokora, Booba, Kendji Girac, Amir, Orelsan, Soprano, Slimane…).
It is thus with an appreciated return that the sextet from Biarritz, France, ended their break after several years.
Now, far from the emo-rock musical style that qualified them at the time, ESKEMO are now pursuing their trajectory with a new artistic direction today carried by their new single « MÊMES FILLES », dealing with a strong and topical theme, domestic violence.
On this release, Romain, the singer and author of the song, comments:
« It was important for me to write on the topic of domestic violence, because it is still in 2019 a real problem of society, a real scourge. It was quite complex to work on the writing because I wanted to address this issue from different angles, love, passion, sex, hatred… The choice of words was therefore very careful, in order to bring the text to its full depth and to anchor an emergency message : STOP ! »
