Miel Releases New Single “Yes!” Feat. Sam Swallow

Singer Songwriter Miel de Botton has been on an exciting musical journey lately, having released her brand-new studio album ‘Surrender to the Feeling’ earlier this year as well as just finishing an impressive tour support slot with ‘Wet Wet Wet’.

Miel is now set to release her new single ‘Yes!’.  The track is co-written by Miel and Sam Swallow, who also features on the track. Sam will be familiar to eagle eyed fans as he is the keyboard player in ‘The Hoosiers’ and a respected musician, producer and sought-after musical arranger. Sam has been working with Miel for some years and their strong creative relationship really shines on this song.

‘Yes!’ is a joyful and upbeat song with a message that silence can indeed be fulfilling within the agitation of modern life.  As the song lyrics nod with the line;

“Yes I am contented in the silence. Finally it is beautiful. And life is less than before. Yet so much more.”

With time and experience comes the realisation that it is crucial to listen to one’s need to rest.

Once again, the strong theme of wellbeing echoes throughout this song and it’s an important message which Miel passionately believes in.

“Eat when you are hungry. Drink when you are thirsty. Rest when you are tired. And multifold the blessings of that self-care will come.”

The song is another little glimpse into the journey Miel has been on over the last few years. She is an artist who deeply feels, observes, and is inspired by nature and the quest for inner peace and this has, in turn, become her main inspiration when writing the majority of tracks on her new album. The album feels like a window into the very soul of Miel de Botton, a joyful and profound musical journey.
