What Would Tilda Swinton Do Release New Single “Waves, Waves”

Kicking off our series of premieres, we are joining forces with the great lads of What Would Tilda Swinton Do for the release of their new single “Waves, Waves.” In their always evolving style, birthed a nostalgic but ever so pulsating, end-of-season tune. The song perfectly blends the angstyness of Cherry Glazer and the loudness of Ty Segall while bringing an own madness of their own.

Formed in 2016 directly and indirectly through a Craigslist ad, Suzie and the rest of the band – Italian drummer, singer-songwriter, and actor Tania Kass, South Shore-born guitarist and synth player Tom Fiset, and Brooklyn native bassist Jason Smith – create music that veers heavily from sensual minimalism (“Apple Tree”) to all-out hard-rocking power anthems (“Bikerbraut”). After releasing a music video (the whimsically erotic dreams of an artist in love with a motorcycle heroine) and a self-titled EP in summer 2018, the group has been playing show after show and captivating audiences across New York City. Between shows, the band created Hush Hush Parlor, a DIY concert series similar to SoFar Sounds showcasing music videos and other visual media; theater and other performance arts; and the atypical stripped down band performance.

Never the type to slow down when the going’s good, the band is currently recording new songs and short form art films for a series of releases throughout the year, all while planning the release of their second music video and the return of hush hush parlor.
