Vic Godard & The Subway Sect will play a special show at The Piper in Saint Leonards on Saturday the 12th of October 2019.
Vic and the band line up of Johnny Britton, Chris Bostock, Andy Alston and Sean McLusky,who recently released a new album entitled ‘mums’ revenge’, will be joined on the night by Rhys Webb of The Horrors who’ll be spinning a set of the best punk 45’s.
‘mums’ revenge’, released on GNUinc Records on Mother’s Day, was recorded withThe Rockingbirds’ Dave Morgan andfeatures twelve tracks including a re-work of the classic ‘Ambition’ and recent single ‘Nobody Knows’.
A compilation of Godard songs entitled ‘Singing A Song in Prison’ was released last year, and featured cover versions by the likes of TheJesus and Mary Chain, Blue Orchids, Bertrand Burgalat, The Secret Goldfish and Orange Juice.
Compiled by Liverpool musician and DJ Joe McKechnie, all profits from the album sales will go to Amnesty International, in memory of Vic’s wife George.
