5 ways to find your new favorite TV show

There’s nothing like finding an amazing new TV show or series that you can binge-watch for hours on a lazy weekend. There’s no doubt  that watching repeated episodes of your favorite show feels amazing, but what if you want to watch something new. Everyone of us eventually hits a point when we get bored or we’ve run out of ideas (and recommendations) and we really don’t know what to watch next. And because there’s literally hundreds of interesting TV shows available on TV and Netflix right now, finding the right series to watch is not an easy task. In fact, it can be a real challenge.

When you’re ready to sit back, relax and enjoy a good sitcom, the last thing you want is to spend a lot of time browsing across different apps and figuring out what to watch. Luckily for you, we’ve compiled a list of five of the fastest ways to find your new favorite television show so that you can plan your next binge-watching night on the couch.

Try the forums

If you can’t decide which TV show to binge-watch next, you can always try searching for suggestions on popular forums. Forums are places when people discuss, rate and review the latest as well as their favorite TV shows and movies, so this can be a good way to find recommendations for great shows you might have missed and that will manage to capture your attention. Read reviews on forums to find out what your fellow viewers think about different TV shows, watch the trailers of the most recommended shows on the Internet and don’t forget to check out the comment section of the videos in order to find out more about the shows you would like to watch. Just beware of spoilers.

Ask your friends for recommendations

Asking your friends for recommendations is another good idea to find your new favorite TV show. Even if your friends do not share your taste when it comes to movies and TV shows, tell them what kind of shows you like and ask them if they have any suggestions for you. Chances are you’ll find a great show you’ve never heard of before.

Check your zodiac sign

Have you ever wondered why when you’re scrolling through many must-watch lists, you can only find only one or two television shows that you actually want to watch?  Probably because you’re born under the sign of Virgo with typical Virgo traits, and the person who made the list is an Aries.

According to astrology, you can find the right TV show for you using just your zodiac sign. Your movie and TV show preferences depend on your personality, which obviously is heavily influenced by your zodiac sign and the placement of the planets in the time you were born. Therefore, if you’re into astrology and you already know your zodiac sign, you can stop wasting time browsing through potential choices and easily find TV shows that you’re going to love because they best suit your personality.

Take an online quiz

Nowadays, there is an online quiz about almost every topic imaginable, including what show or what movie should you watch next. Taking an online quiz is a quick and fun way to see what recommendations you will come up with. Who knows, you might discover a great show you’ve missed or one that you never thought you’d be interested in before.

Pick a random TV show

Try something totally new: look up a list of must-watch shows and choose a random TV show or simply click on a genre you’ve never watched before. Give it a try and see if you’re interested. Many people have a tendency to watch the same types of TV shows over and over again, but if you’re bored and you really can’t decide what to watch next, why not try something totally different? For example, if you usually watch comedies or romantic dramas only, why not try something different like a thriller or crime show. Who knows, if you give it a chance, you might end up liking a totally new genre.
