Stark, confident and familiar, contemporary electro-pop artist WILLA shared her raucous brand new song “No Control” on Friday.  Gracing the cover of the “It’s A Bop” playlist on Spotify, the strident and vulnerable track is featured on her forthcoming EP release – Deadbeats out October 25 via Black Box.

“No Control is about my very first relationship,” shares Willa.  “Funny how long it takes to really address how things affected you, hey? This song is bonfires, beer bottles (sorry I stole so much beer, Dad), sneaking out, streetlights, evergreen trees, and being open with someone who was initially open and then VERY closed. Push, pull, give, take. So much magic and also tons of fuckery, but, it got me here today and led to this song, so I’m happy with that.”

Produced and co-written with Derek Hoffman (Ralph, Lolo, Arkells), with contributions from Lantz (Jazz Cartier), Robyn Dell’Unto (Wild Rivers), and Emery Taylor (R3HAB), Deadbeats features six tracks including the first single “No Control” as well as “BF Jeans”, “I’m Mine”, and title-track “Deadbeats” along with previously released songs “Cause You Did” and “Take It Or Leave It”.
