Inbal Releases New Single “One Step”

Artists like West London’s Inbal are a rarity. As a multi-instrumentalist and multilingual singer-songwriter growing up amongst the picturesque Mediterranean coastline of Tel Aviv, Israel she brings a taste of that colourful beauty to her genre-blurring and progressive take on honest alt-pop.

Citing influences such as Jeff Buckley, Radiohead and Björk, it’s clear that Inbal is reaching out for a timeless sound, and with forthcoming single “One Step”, she’s achieved it with an inimitable finesse. With a tight contemporary production, the unwavering rhythm of her melancholic harmonies borders on hypnotic, as the minor progression sweeps you through a relatable narrative on the first stages of a relationship. Both timely and timeless, Inbal has a true gift for songwriting.

Speaking to the motivation behind One Step, Inbal shares:

“The song is about the insecurities we all feel at the beginning of a new relationship. As in, where you obsess over every sentence you say and worry about whether you’re playing every little thing right. Trying not to step on anyone’s toe, is like a dance of vulnerabilities”
