INTERVIEW: Follow No One’s Rich Hall

How would you classify your music?

Hard Rock/Classic Heavy Metal.

Who are some of your top 5 musical influences?

Foo Fighters, Extreme, Ozzy, Dream Theater, The Damn Yankees.

What do you want fans to take from your music?

We want our fans to be taken to the time when they enjoyed Rock Music the most and for our younger fans to hear the same things we heard that inspired us to be musicians, in the music we create.

How’s the music scene in your locale?

Colorado is a great place for Live Venues. Some of the best Summer Music Festivals are here. And we love it!

What is the best concert you have been to?

Dream Theater. They played a smaller club in El Paso, Texas and it was the most intimate concert I’ve ever been to.  The sound they were able to achive in that space was remarkable and I’ve never seen a better band from a technical standpoint.

What do you like most about playing live?

Experiencing the music with our fans. We’re music fans too and sometimes that gets lost. By Nature I(Rich) am an entertainer and when I’m writing music, it’s with that end result in mind….Rocking it with the fans!

Is there a song on your latest CD release here that stands out as your personal favorite, and why?

It depends on what mood I’m in really. But the song I’m most proud of is Your Time of Dying. It took our sound in a little bit of a different direction, which the fans have responded well to. But I would say my favorite Rock song is The Greatest Sin. We had a little bit of a late 80’s/90’s vibe in it from the classic metal days and it’s one of our fan favorites.

How have you evolved as an artist over the last year?

As I mentioned before, our sound. We’ve done a little more vocally, with Pedro singing some key vocals on an upcoming track and with the addition of our new Bass Player Reagan, we’ve added another dimension to our vocals which take our sound to a new level.

If you could meet, play a gig, co-write a song, have dinner, have a drink with any band or artist (dead or alive) who would it be?

Any or all of the above with Ozzy W/Randy Rhoades. I think that would make everyone happy.  I know it would my dad.

What’s next for you?

We have a new single, Bring Me Peace, coming out in about a month and plan to finish off the rest of 2019 with some strong studio work for some upcoming releases.

What is the biggest Moment of your Career up to this point?

It has to be our recent win for Best Rock Duo/Group at the Josie Music Awards, which is the largest Independent Music Awards Show in the world!
