Céu Gets Retro in New Music Video

Céu has returned with the release for her new music video for “Coreto.”

In it, a woman is transported into a metaphorical universe when she uses her voice to break censorship, influencing everything around her. On one side, we have contained, repressed spaces, destruction of objects and fire. On the other hand, outdoors, dancing and singing, as forms of more expansive expressions.

“I wanted to tell a story that was both visually full of symbols, almost David Lynch like but also as light and engaging as the choreography represented in it” says the director, Aline Lata.

Shot in Sao Paulo, at a floating bar the day Sao Paulo turned night at 3pm.

Featuring the iconic dancer “Jimmy The Dancer” – myth of the dub/reggae scene and pio-neer of the Sao Paulo’s Soundsystem culture- and singer Jonnata Doll (from the post-punk band Jonnatta Doll e os Garotes Solventes).

Produced by LANDIA, the global production house listed three times, as an AD AGE’s A_LIST PRODUCTION COMPANY STANDOUT.
