Introducing Lost Music Collective, a brand new independent label celebrating the DIY pop punk spirit. Ready to take the rest of 2019 by storm with their first signings – Rival Town, Yearbooks, Goalkeeper, and Chase Your Words – Lost Music Collective comes from the minds of Vinnie Fiorello (Less Than Jake, Fueled By Ramen, Sailor Diggen’s Finest CBD) and Erick Droegmoeller (Word Is Bond, Inc.).
The label will be making its debut with the release of Rival Town’s forthcoming album, Useless Hands, on October 4th. For a taste of what’s to come, check out the exclusive label sampler here.
“I’ve been wanting to start another record for quite some time now but was waiting for the right opportunity. When Vinnie hit me up about wanting to start a new label, I knew I had the right partner to do it with,” shares Droegmoeller. “The bands we chose for this label are great examples of individuals wanting to succeed with their careers. I’m happy to be working with Vinnie on Lost Music Collective and helping our bands grow.”
Fiorello adds: “It’s been great to connect with bands and people who share the same goals and work endlessly to achieve those goals. Lost Music Collective was an idea that started with a phone call from Erick, and together we slowly have been building a roster of bands we both believe in.”
Launching with some of the best up and coming pop punk, Lost Music Collective is dedicated to all the young upstarts and the unknown bands doing it for all the right reasons. It’s meant to celebrate the music that’s been copied onto cassette tapes and burned into CD-Rs, demos pressed into vinyl records with Xeroxed covers, music given out free or hustled for a few dollars to pay for gas in the van. It’s an homage to the Bandcamp links scrawled on walls across cities and, most importantly, to the bands bashing their way through sweaty hall shows before driving across country. It’s a reminder that, even when connecting with others was hardest, there was always music.
