2019 Fashion Guide: What to Wear in Your 30s

Aging is one of the most common fears that people have. People are often afraid of not being able to do the things they could when they were younger, and also how their body changes with age.

The day this sets in is often the moment when your favorite jeans no longer fit, even though you haven’t made any lifestyle changes.

As such, fashion will likely be much different for you when you’re in your 30s. But, all it takes is a little guidance to stay looking great.

Let’s take a look at what to wear in your 30s.

Avoid the Mini Skirts

When you’re in your 30s, it’s time to show off your maturity. Mini skirts are plenty cute when you’re younger, but you’ll want to show a little less skin as time goes on.

Luckily, pencil skirts are always an appropriate option, so opt for those instead.

Blouses Instead of T-Shirts

While there’s nothing wrong with wearing a T-shirt to the gym or while cleaning, it’s not ideal to wear out on the town.

Instead, purchase a handful of blouses to wear on an average day. This will help you maintain a refined look while still being stylish.

What About Shoes?

When it comes to footwear, it’s time for an upgrade.

Invest in a pair of quality heels for both work and going out. Similarly, toss your old sneakers and grab a sturdy pair of athletic shoes for running or the gym.

It’s no secret that aging often brings extra soreness with it, so it’s time for footwear that will keep your feet (and joints) extra comfortable.

Bodycon Dresses

It’s difficult to give these a hard “no,” so we won’t.

Some look amazing on women in their 30s. Other types of bodycon dresses are a bit too revealing.

If you choose to wear one while out on the town, opt for a thicker material that goes down to (or past) the knees. Shorter, lacy dresses aren’t the move.

High-Waisted Jeans

There’s something about this look that’s captivating.

It recalls the simpler era of the ’80s and ’90s, and have a youthful essence to them.

They also just look pretty damn good.

They do wonders for your hips and legs and can be matched with an endless array of tops (both casual and professional).

Put simply, it’s hard to go wrong with high-waisted jeans.

Regardless, these are your new go-to jeans if only for the sake of throwing out your old low-rise jeans from your college days.

Knowing What to Wear in Your 30s Can Seem Difficult

But it doesn’t have to be.

With the above information about what to wear in your 30s in mind, you’ll be well on your way to turning heads with your wardrobe.
