It is a reimagining of a song from the 1968 Japanese cult film 神々の深き欲望 (Kamigami no Fukaki Yokubō) [Profound Desires Of The Gods], directed by Shōhei Imamura, music by Toshiro Mayuzumi.

Spain are probably best known for their 1995 debut album The Blue Moods Of Spain, and for their song “Spiritual”, which has been recorded by Johnny Cash and many others. Over the past 20+ years, Spain has released seven studio albums, the latest being Mandala Brush from Dangerbird Records. Spain was founded by Josh Haden, son of the late jazz bassist Charlie Haden.

Upcoming live shows include Seattle, WA (The Royal Room) on Sept. 29th, 2019, and Portland, OR (Turn! Turn! Turn!) on Sept. 30th. For over three years Spain has been playing a monthly residency in their hometown of Los Angeles, at the Love Song Bar in Downtown L.A.
