Racoon Racoon Shares Intimate Acoustic Session In A Beautiful Forest

Racoon Racoon is Léa & Léonard, a chamberfolkduo from France.

Often compared to Angus & Julia Stone, Flora Cash or as folk symbiosis between William Fitzsimmons and Agnes Obel, their style can be painted as honeyed harmonies dancing between an acoustic guitar and fluttering fiddles…

The nine-year couple began to compose together when living in Belgium, in 2016 and soon released a first EP “Our Love’s Funeral” in February 2017 on the German label Majestic Casual Records.

Early 2018, they released their second EP “Dawn Chorus”, written in the heart of the Italian Alps. They recorded it in Belgium with talented musicians from Brussels’ Philharmonic orchestra Thomas Fiorini (double bass) and Emile Verstraeten (violins and mandolin) that Léo met while working as a set-up engineer on a recording of Ramin Djawadi.

This year, after a featuring with Camel Power Club on “A Wave of Goodbyes” and a environmental driven single “The Dodo’s Nest”, they’re back with a third EP which first single “Thunderbird” will be released on October 11th. The first taste of this new material comes in the form of a beautiful acoustic session in the midst of a forrest that captures the beauty of the song, while amping the intimacy. Watch here
