Butcher & the Florist release new dreamy indie-pop track, “Waking Daydream”

Up-and-coming Electro-Pop duo, Butcher & the Florist are releasing their third track this year, “Waking Daydream.” The track is a lush and dreamy, synth-pop ballad, that touches on lost love, and embracing change.

The duo is comprised of husband/wife duo, Kendel Lester and Jody Miller, who met 7 years ago at a music video shoot. They formed Butcher & the Florist in 2018 wanting to branch out from their rock roots and explore new sounds. Waking Daydream was the first song they wrote for this new venture and embodies their alt-pop sound, combining real instruments with grounded synths and airy vocals.

“Waking Daydream” was produced with local favorite Matthew Dougherty and mastered by legend, Mike Marsh.

The duo is already gearing up for their next release out in late 2019. Don’t miss out on this exciting new act exploding out of Chicago.
