Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

Hello, we are well, we have been focusing on writing, recording and releasing music and videos mostly.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Do It Again”?

“Do It Again” is our 2nd single and video. Billy Grey (Fozzy, Tattoo The Scars) graciously lends his guitar soloing skills for the solo portion of this tune. Rich “The Duke of Metal” Ward (Fozzy, Stuck Mojo) mixed this single.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

We feel that the song captures the everyday working man’s feeling of looking forward to the free time after the work day whistle. We all have had or currently have jobs where the only thing we think about everyday is punching that damn time clock and heading to the bar to recharge our batteries. That is what “Do It Again” is all about.

How was the filming process and experience behind the video?

The “Do It Again” video was directed and edited by our very own bass guitar player Paul Lawrence. Paul had a vision for this video and the rest of the guys in the band pitched in to help bring that vision into reality.

During the “Do It Again” video shoot, one of the mini HD cameras we were using for low to the ground video footage was crushed by the El Camino. Luckily we were able to salvage the memory card and the footage from that HD camera. (At least we were able to get some great footage before that camera got flattened. lol)

Another interesting video tid-bit. You will notice a cop car pulling right behind the El Camino at the very end of the “Do It Again” video. We kept that footage in the video because it really happened. Homeowners in the near by area where we were filming called the cops complaining about “a extremely loud red El Camino speeding and racing in the area.” So, the local police arrived and pulled over our model in the El Camino, ending the video shoot for that day!

We had a blast filming the band footage at Iron Vine Studio Metal fabricating shop. “Crazy” Dave added some fantastic metal grinding sparks and welding footage that we think really helped the working man storyline for the video.

How was the recording and writing process?

“Do It Again” is a song that Jonathan had been working on for a while and recently we were able to finish it. The recording process was interesting. We recorded the music and vocals in different locations and Billy recorded his solo at his home studio. Technology today makes things a lot easier.

What was it like to work with Billy Grey and what did he bring to the table?

Billy is s fantastic guitar player and we were very excited when he agreed to record a solo for this song. Jonathan and Paul have played acoustic cover shows with billy in the past so the chemistry was there already.

Do you tend to take a different approach when collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

Normally collaborations tend to be spur of the moment decisions for us.

What role does Atlanta play in your music?

Atlanta has quite a bit of musical talent. There are a lot of good Rock and Metal bands here and that seems to help everyone stay on their game.

Does the new single mean we can expect more new material – how’s that coming along?

We are focusing on writing and releasing singles right now and later our plan is to bundle some of these singles along with other unreleased material and release a full album or EP.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

Not as of yet.

Any plans to hit the road?

We are actively searching for bands and tour partners. We will probably start off by touring the south east US first, then expand out.

What else is happening next in Say Never’s world?

Writing, Recording, producing videos, promoting and playing shows. We are doing this ourselves with some help from a friend or two. We have no record label and there are many hats we have to wear with a lot of time and hours invested.

Thank you.
