Hi Insyde, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

I have been doing AMAZING! My latest single has been doing very well in terms of streaming numbers!

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Something Real”?

Definitely! “Something Real” is a song about unstable relationships. It is written to help the many people who are going through similar situations as depicted in the song.

Did any event in particular inspired you to write this song?

Not really. I have not been in any relationships myself, but I have heard from other people who have been in similar relationships. I have also gathered information from my observations and other stories that I have heard.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

Yes! We have recently released the music video and it is doing very well. It is a very unique music video. There are things that are not typical of the average independent artist’s music video.

How was the recording and writing process?

It went very smooth, I wrote my verses relatively quickly and sent off the draft to Tot and Hennest. They got their verses on within about a week. I did sound engineering for another couple of weeks, and then we submitted it to be released.

With the great reception from your previous work – were you any nervous or felt any pressure or rather the opposite?

At first I was kind of nervous, but after I had listened to the completed song, all my nerves went away, because it actually sounded okay. I was under a lot of pressure to write new music, but I did not let it get to me. I took a long break after writing my first song and I did not want to rush the creative process. I wrote “Something Real” when I was ready.

Do you tend to take a different approach when you are collaborating with someone else rather than working on your own?

Not really so far, but that’s because we did not record the song together, rather we all recorded separately and they sent in all of their verses. It may be different when I actually start recording with people in the studio. I have a unique way of recording music I kind of listened to the beat and freestyle to it and see what I like and see what I don’t. I expand on the stuff that I decide to keep. When I have a good lyrical draft, I rerecord it.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Yes! I am currently working on an album.I already have made about 4 songs for the album.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

I don’t have a title in mind, but I most likely will release the album around winter break sometime in December.

Any plans to hit the road?

Not currently. I may go on tour after college.

What else is happening next in Insyde’s world?

I kind of want to start a YouTube channel that is not all focused on music. I want to do cool and epic stuff so my fans can enjoy it. Byte, the successor to Vine, will be coming out soon and I plan to be focusing on content for that.

Thanks for having me on and interviewing me!
