How To Create A WordPress Site in 2019

In this modern day and age, both professionals as well as businesses require an online presence if they wish to flourish in their respective fields.

As such, the market also has feature-rich technologies to help you build a modern professional-grade website in a matter of minutes. WordPress is the most popular and well-known of these options, powering over 30% of all websites on the world wide web.

If you too want to set up a great looking website without having to hire a professional designer, then we recommend using WordPress for the job.

It is super easy to set up, takes significantly less time, and costs ridiculously less. Which is why, for the purpose of this read, we have put together a comprehensive guide going over how to create a WordPress website in 2019.

So without further ado, let’s get started:

Get a Domain Name & Web Hosting

The first thing you will need to do, is get a domain and hosting for your website.

What is a Domain Name?

For those of you who don’t know, your website domain is the unique string of letters and/or numbers which is used to refer to your website. It consists of two parts, the domain name itself and the TLD (Top Level Domain). For example, in “Facebook.com” the domain name is ‘Facebook’ whereas the TLD is ‘.com’.

What is Web Hosting?

Web hosting is an online service which is used to get your website hosted on the internet. A web hosting provider gives you partial or full control over a remote server – a high specification computer, which you can use to store your website data and make it access via the internet.

Now, you can only get your website domain from an online domain registrar, and to host your website, you will need to subscribe to a web hosting provider. These can be two different companies, or a single one.

For the purpose of this tutorial, we will be using WPX Hosting. They are experts in WordPress hosting and offers both domain registration and web hosting services.

Once you have got your domain ready, it is time to choose from one of their hosting plans. You will get three different pricing structures with option to switch between yearly and monthly billings; yearly subscriptions offers come at a considerable discount.

Pick a hosting plan which meets your budget requirements and also provides necessary functionalities. This will require you to create an account with WPX Hosting, from where you will be able to manage all your domains and other hosting needs.

Now, with your domain and hosting ready, it is time you install WordPress on your website.
