67’s Monkey Delivers First 67 Tape Of 2019 ‘Wild N Loose’

Legendary UK drill group 67’s very own Monkey delivers his first solo project ‘Wild N Loose’, with huge features from the likes of Headie One, K-Trap, Lancey Foux, LD, Sleeks and Slim, just to name a few.

Following the release of 67’s most recent album ‘The 6’ lighting up the streets in usual fashion with smooth yet unapologetically raw tracks, they have without a doubt established themselves as essential and iconic figures in UK rap. With each member having their own stamp on the crew’s sound, It’s worth noting that almost every legendary 67 hit, from ‘Take It There’, to ‘Lets Lurk’, ‘Waps’, ‘This Side’, ‘5AM Vamping’ etc. begins with Monkey’s trademark vocals and hard-hitting flow and making him one of, if not the most defining artist in the crew.

With Monkey’s vocals being the majority of fan’s introduction to the 67 sound, ‘Wild N Loose’ is the exact ride or die, aggressive and painfully real music that everyone has come to love from them. Riddled with instrumentals courtesy of genre defining producers Carns Hill and M1 On The Beat all over the tape. This is highlighted on ‘Olympics’ which features Dimzy and Headie One barring it out over a nostalgic Carns UK drill beat, reminding us of the timelessness of the sound that rose to such notoriety a couple of years ago.

Monkey also shows his versatility as an artist on ‘Wild N Loose’, with ‘Us’ featuring Lancey Foux being a highlight. Taking a complete step back from drill with a glossy new wave trap beat, while still maintaining the same rawness that he’s known for. As well as on title track ‘Wild N Loose’ featuring rising drill star ST, dropping an old school banger which shows Monkey reminiscing about life back in the day and recalling his struggle.

With ‘Wild N Loose’ being the first project to be released by 67 as a whole in 2019, the twelve track tape containing star studded features and an air-tight cohesion shows promising signs that the 6 are gearing up for a heavy return with Monkey leading the charge.
