Ocean Moon, the new age ambient project from Lo Recordings founder Jon Tye, are set to release a new album on his own renowned independent imprint on the 27th of September 2019.
‘World Of Light’, available digitally and on CD, is Tye’s first completely beatless album since the ‘iO’ album which he released under the MLO moniker in 1994; one of a number of releases he made at the time for labels such as Rising High, Ninja Tune, R&S and Reflective.
The third instalment in Lo Recordings’ ongoing ‘Spaciousness’ series, this deeply phased and resonant collection was recorded high on a hill in Cornwall over the last two years. Featuring eight beautifully crafted new tracks that include lead single ‘Let The Flow Begin’, new long player ‘World Of Light’ resonates with the vibrations of Terry Riley, Fripp and Eno, Pauline Anna Strom and JD Emmanuel.

Established by Jon Tye and forward-thinking collaborator Gavin O’Shea in 1995, London based Lo Recordings is widely regarded as one of the UK’s most consistently innovative independent labels.
Their output reaches across and beyond the electronic music spectrum. Grimes, David Toop, Fischerspooner, Aphex Twin, Susumu Yokota, Luke Vibert, Blur, Thurston Moore and Squarepusher are amongst the long list of names that adorn the back catalogue, a rich and diverse ethnographic history that was partly captured by ‘It’s Been Hell: 20 Years of Lo Recordings’ compilation
In 2009 Jon Tye launched the Seahawks project with producer, DJ and artist Pete Fowler and they’ve since gone on to amass a sought after back catalogue of over twenty releases.
During this time the Lo Recordings visionary has also managed to produce a strong and acclaimed output of work asCherry Garcia (with Ruf Dug) Brain Machine (with Guido Zen) and Pink Fluid.
