Lily Moore returns with ‘More Moore’ Mixtape an extension of her ‘More Moore’ club nights. It’s Lily and her mates getting together to perform, have a few pints and create something characterful together. The mixtape is much the same, consisting of 8 tracks including 3 features, a live recording of fan favourite ’10 Ways’, writing demos and more.”
Lead track, ‘Nothing On You’ (out today) is a soulful, organ driven ballad with a soaring vocal performance from Lily. The song was produced and co-written with her friends, the electronic duo Honne. Listen HERE
“The mixtape is a collation of songs that i’ve written over the last couple of years, from growing up in Brighton to moving to London and making new friends. I started a club night called ‘More Moore at Mau Mau bar’ on Portobello Road to create a West London music vibe with my new mates, so we could jump up on stage, sing each other’s songs and have a beer! This went on to me working in the studio with some of them and there you have the More Moore Mixtape!” Lily shares.
‘Nothing on You’ is joined by 7 more tracks, including collaborations with the likes of Maverick Sabre, Dan Caplen and Tobie Tripp. The mixtape covers a diverse range of music, from the gospel-laced soul duet of ‘In-between’ where Lily’s vocals create a buffer for Maverick Sabre’s deeper tones, to the upbeat pop of ‘Undo’ with Dan Caplen.
In the past Lily used to host her residency in west London’s bohemian Mau Mau Bar and it has featured slots from the likes of Tom Grennan, Will Heard and Mathilda Homer.
In September her own curated live music night will be returning this time to the 100 Club on September 10th (SOLD OUT) with a brilliant line up: Millie Turner, Sam Johnson and a special guest!
The 20-year-old singer/songwriter grew up listening to the soul masters like Etta James, Lauryn Hill and Sam Cooke and developed her own stripped-back style with a unique neo-soul sound. Since starting out her first sold out headline tour of the UK, that included her biggest show to date at London’s Omeara, and shared stages with the likes of George Ezra, James Bay, Honne and Freya Ridings as a support act.
