Hi guys, welcome to VENTS! How have you been?

We’ve been wonderful! Hope you guys are doing the same! Thanks for interviewing us and wanting to get to know more about us.

Can you talk to us more about your latest single “Fever”?

Absolutely! Fever is a song about listening to yourself and trusting your own judgement while in an environment where people are always telling you what to think and telling you untrue things, whether it’s your relationship, job, or friends. This is an upbeat anthem geared to help you motivate yourself and make you feel better for the 3 minutes you’re jamming out.

Did any event in particular inspire you to write this song?

Maybe not one big event, but definitely a bunch of little events that you had a feeling you knew something was going on, and despite what everyone told you, you came out right on top and hit the nail on the head with your gut feeling.

Any plans to release a video for the single?

In fact, we do have plans to release a video soon! We’re almost done with the filming and our video producer works very quickly, so you should expect it to be late August or Early September for release.

How was the recording and writing process?

The writing process started with ideas and lyrics that didn’t rhyme at first. They just portrayed feelings and slowly became rhyme and rhythm. Then, soon enough guitar and drums were put down along with some embellishing and intricacy for stronger sense of rhythm. Before we knew it, this single was looking and sounding great.

What role does West Palm Beach play in your music?

West Palm Beach is a city in Florida where we all grew up for some time. It definitely plays a role with Afflux Studios being an opportunity for Pop Punk to shine through a lot of the more popular demographics such as Rap/Hip-Hop culture. A friend of ours, Paul Spirou, loves Pop Punk and uses his talent of tracking/mixing/mastering to put Pop Punk bands on the radar. He’s been mixing since he was 12 years old and definitely shows his professionalism through his mixes.

Does the new single mean we can expect a new material – how’s that coming along?

Indeed! This single, Fever, was the first track off of our upcoming EP.

Any tentative release date or title in mind?

We unfortunately do not have a solid release date right now, but we do have a working title we’re thinking about which we’d like to surprise everyone with!

What other aspects of relationships will you get to explore on this record?

Glad you asked! Despite seeming like another teen angst album still hurting from their past, we will get to explore feelings of being too hard on yourself, simply having fun, getting hurt and injured all the time but getting back up and healing, etc. This album is filled with emotions and you’re all along for the ride!

Any plans to hit the road?

As of right now we’re just keeping the hard work in the studio and on YouTube for the giant stage called the “internet.” However, you can expect to see us on the road if the upcoming album develops a lot of support enough to reach out further than local live shows!

What else is happening next in Seven Fly’s world?

As of now, two of us are working for Fire Departments and we’re just looking for our favorite hobbies like music to help us have fun and relax from the extreme-stress situations of being a Firefighter/Paramedic. One of our members works with Audio/Video sound engineering, and another has multiple jobs lined up but manages to keep our band a very high priority still which is very respected. We’d love for this upcoming album to really put us on the map and reach everyone out there who wants to escape for 3 minutes at a time from their stressful world!
