Andy Serkis Set To Direct Venom 2

Yes – Venom 2 has officially found its director. The lead of Sony Pictures has set Andy Serkis to direct Venom 2 and deadline regarding this has confirmed. The star-face Andy Serkis will replace Ruben Fleischer for the symbiote’s superhero sequel. Andy himself made a tweet by posting his photo of himself concerning an issue of a Venom comic book on Monday.

Venom 2 will be the third film Lord of the Rings actor has directed, before this movie, he directed 2017 film Breathe, 2018 Jungle Book adaptation of Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle. Andy is well-known regarding his prominent work as motion capture and voice actor with vital and stunning roles such as Caesar in the “War for the Planet of the Apes,” Snoke in the recent “Star Wars films, and most splendid and famous role as Gollum in “Lord of Rings.”

Finally, Andy has confirmed that he’s directing Venom 2, after days of build-up. Additionally, on Insta, he provided few none-too cryptic hints about the sequel’s story.

THR revealed the story revealing that Andy will actually be behind the camera for Venom 2. The movies could potentially be released on 2nd of October, 2020 to complete the spot that left in Sony’s picture schedule by an ‘untitled Spider-Man movie.’

Serkis extensive experience will help him to secure the directing job for Venom 2. No doubt Andy is a famous star with incredibly physical performance; his splendid performance facts make him a perfect match for Tom Hardy’s fish-tank-jumping Venom antics.

Also, don’t be surprised if Andy show up on a special MoCap appereance in Venom 2! Or Serkis can also appear in a normal-looking human cameo in Venom, similarly as he did his last blockbuster movie, Black Panther.

However, there is no specific news placed yet about the film, but the original film see some mid-credits scene which introduces Cletus Kasady (aka Carnage), played Woody Harrelson. Furthermore, Venom 2 will bring again back Michelle Williams as Ann Weying, also a San Francisco district attorney and Eddie Brock’s ex-fiancée.

Gamespot reports revealed that T.Hardy was much indulged with the writing –  along with [screenwriter] Kelly Marcel. So, let’s hope for a fun and greater script!
