About the song, she comments
I wrote this song when a girl really upset me as she was trying to adopt a manipulative behaviour towards me.
I came back home with a big amount of bad energy and I had this melody stuck in my head (the actual chorus). I needed to find a way to express it in full.
I wanted to write a pop song that wasn’t too girly but which allowed everybody to relate to it, so I thought of telling a story told by a guy’s point of view, which could be also interpreted as a gay song but as well as a metaphore for the higher and the lower self.
I started to jam this chorus “mmm no no no more with you don’t waste my time “ and the song came naturally to my mind.
