UNSECRET Releases “Joyride” Feat. Butterfly Boucher

UNSECRET has released more than forty songs since the beginning of 2016, having released 24 songs in 2019 alone. Beginning quietly in 2016 with “Point Of No Return” featuring Sam Tinnesz, UNSECRET has begun amassing a fortune of songs that continues to steadily grow.

Flash forward to July 2019, and UNSECRET is gearing up for the next release – “Joyride” featuring the Australian singer Butterfly Boucher.

Joyride is a quirky dance-pop anthem that induces a retro nostalgia with its relentless energy and anthemic lyricism. It is expected to gain attention and success from Spotify playlists, following in the footsteps of its well-received predecessors Love It and Fallout.

UNSECRET collaborated with indie superstar Butterfly Boucher and electronic music wizard Dustin Wise to create Joyride, the perfect soundtrack for your summer party. Infused with an infectious rhythm and 80s-inspired synth melodies, Joyride conjures visions of cruising down the coast in a convertible.

“Don’t ya wanna know me better? I just wanna know about you,” Butterfly sings on the chorus, flirting with every word before ending with, “We could take a drive together, I wanna joyride with you.”

But if you think the song is only about summertime fun, featured artist Butterfly gives some background behind some of the song’s more obscure lyrics:

“Lately I’ve been pretty curious about the idea of other dimensions and non-linear time, so I kinda walked into the studio with all that buzzing around my head. Really early on in the process the bass and drums on this track started giving us retro computer game vibes, I was instantly drawn to the idea of this being a soundtrack to an interstellar joyride! To all my fellow curiously minded friends, here’s a song for you on your adventures.”

So whether you’re contemplating the mysteries of the universe, or just enjoying life outdoors in the summer sun, “Joyride” has something to offer everyone.”

The question as to who is behind the mysterious musical juggernaut remains undisclosed, with some reports saying UNSECRET has decades of experience, whereas others say it is a completely new project. Is UNSECRET a collective of producers or a single person? No one knows.

The buzz about UNSECRET has only grown hotter, as the songs have been showcased in a number of TV shows and films. Featured artists Ruelle, Matthew Perryman Jones, Young Summer, Ivory Layne, and others, have played a key role in gaining exposure, though no discernible pattern has emerged to figure out who UNSECRET might work with next!

It doesn’t make the guesswork easier that the featured artists literally span the globe. Even the word “genre” has been tossed out the window in favour of an ever-evolving palette of sounds. Is UNSECRET electronic? Cinematic? Pop? Alternative? Who knows. But there’s one thing fans agree on: they want more. And UNSECRET is ready to deliver.
