Brought up in South East London, her mother a teacher and father a car dealer, Amy Swift was raised on a palette of Soul, Jazz and Motown.
Her distinctive vocals and songwriting prowess ignited interest throughout the music industry. Time spent writing and performing for other artists helped hone her craft and led her to fronting British Soul/Electronic band Pacific State on Universal Music.
Having spent the last few years working on new material, she is now clearly carving her niche as a solo artist, pulling on all her early influences and crafting her own unique sound.
Her new single “The One” is a self-penned heartbreaking elegy to lost love – honest, and frank. You can feel every ounce of emotion in the depths of her rich vocals and painfully honest lyrics. Listen here
‘It’s about lost love, that one person that will always have part of you, it’s about being vulnerable and honest and the journey of letting go’
Amy’s uniquely bold and singular voice, along with her classic songwriting are marking her out as One To Watch in 2019.
Amy is currently working on new material with Steve Brown (Laura Mvula, Rumer) and will be supporting Natacha Atlas on her European Tour in the Autumn.
